Day 15 - North Korea
In North Korea, persecution is severe and relentless. The government views Christianity as a foreign ideology and the only religion allowed is the Juche which consists of solely worshipping the Kim family. If caught with a Bible, praying, or talking about Jesus, North Koreans risk being arrested, sent to concentration camps, and even executed. Entire families can suffer if one family member is caught being a Christian. Bibles are illegal in North Korea and must be kept secret and smuggled from city to city. Prepare Your Heart
Watch the video below and pray for North Korea.
Praise
- Praise God for all the creative ways people smuggle Bibles into North Korea.
- Praise God for the 10,000 Bibles Shepherd will fund through Voice of the Martyrs for North Korea.
Prayer
- Pray that God will move the hearts of the Kim family and all the regime elites that maintain a cruel, oppressive state. Shine the light on Jesus Christ as the true Lord and savior, and NOT Kim Il-Sung, Kim Jong-Iil, or Kim Jong-Un.
- Pray that the Christians who secretly believe in Jesus Christ find strength in knowing that Christians outside of North Korea are praying for them, and yearn for them to be free. They are NOT alone! Christ is WITH them, and Christians around the world are WITH them.
- Pray for the eyes of guards who are raiding Christians' homes to be blinded, not finding any Bibles or Biblical material.
- Pray for the people producing Bibles and distributing them, that God would guide their path and keep them safe.
- Pray for more and more Bibles to enter North Korea, for every eye to hear and read about Jesus.
We had incredible guest speakers this past weekend at service!
